Letter to the editor: 'Cultivating Kindness' this National Skilled Nursing Care Week at Southern Senior Living

Posted

Southern Senior Living is excited to celebrate our exceptional staff and inspiring residents this National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) beginning on Mother's Day, May 14-20, with the theme "Cultivating Kindness."

Southern Senior Living takes pride in caring for our residents every day. We have three locations in Clarendon and Berkeley counties. Lake Marion Health and Rehab in Summerton, Lake Moultrie Health and Rehab in Saint Stephen and Pocotaligo River Health and Rehab in Manning are all dedicated to maintaining our standard of excellence in care while cultivating an atmosphere of compassion and diversity.

The annual NSNCW observance recognizes the important role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for our elders and individuals with disabilities. Each person in the long-term and post-acute care community contributes to improving the quality of life of all residents by providing a home away from home that allows them to have the essential connections they need to thrive.

During National Skilled Nursing Care Week, let us take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the skilled nursing care professionals who continuously cultivate kindness in their everyday work. Their compassion, empathy and expertise are the driving forces behind the delivery of exceptional care to those in need.

Join me in celebrating and honoring these extraordinary individuals who make a difference in the lives of countless individuals and their families.
