D. WAYNE GREENE

Douglas Wayne Greene, 70, husband of Brenda P. Greene, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Born Oct. 31, 1948, in Augusta, Georgia, he was a son of the late Marvin Edward Greene and Catherine Jackson Cooper. Mr. Greene attended Green Acres Assembly of God. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was in the finance business for a number of years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Henry Page Jr. (Ashley); a daughter, Renee Francois; four grandchildren, Natalie E. Page, Keegan Wayne Page, Mae Lee Jean Page and Skyler E. Bradley; one brother, Glenn Greene (Sandy Scarborough); four sisters-in-law, Kathy Thompson, Tammy Lowder, Debbie Geddings and Paula Cox; mother-in-law, Helen Geddings; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Bowman officiating. Burial will be at Paxville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 240 Lakewood Drive.
