DANNY K. JONES

PACE, Florida - Danny K. Jones, 70, of Pace, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022.

Danny was born in Thomaston, Georgia, and was one of two children born to the late Clifford and Bobbie Jones. He was a graduate of R.E. Lee Institute, Thomaston, and had some college credit. Danny was a retired United States Air Force master sergeant with 20 years of service. He was stationed for many years at Shaw AFB, Sumter, where he held numerous jobs and was the owner of Danny's Temp Control Heating and Air Conditioning for a time. Danny was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church of Sumter.

Danny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia L. Jones of Pace; daughter, DeAnne Rhodes of Marietta, Georgia; daughter, Katherine (Daniel) Baker of Pace; six grandchildren, Kourtney, Brittany, Dezirae, Ashlynn, Jonathan and Avalynn; one great-grandchild, Chloe; a sister, Vicki Jones Coggins of Thomaston; as well as numerous cousins.

Visitation will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. today at Lewis Funeral Home's Pace Chapel, 4777 W. Spencer Field Road, Pace, FL 32571.

A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery. To arrive in procession, the family will meet at the Olive Baptist Warrington Campus no later than 12:25 p.m. Directions will be given at the visitation.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Santa Rosa Medical Center ER and ICU for the love and care given to their husband, father, brother and "Papa" during his time of illness.

The family requests memorial donations be made in Danny's honor to Samaritan's Purse.
