DEBORAH KAY EVANS TRUESDALE

Deborah Kay Evans Truesdale, 60, wife of Tony Truesdale, died on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on Oct. 23, 1959, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late L.C. and Nellie Mitchum Evans. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church and worked as a traveling certified nursing assistant for LabCorp.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years; two children, Michael Hammie Truesdale and Crystal Truesdale, both of Sumter; six grandchildren, Dannie A. Morris, Daulton Morris, Michael Anthony Truesdale, Kayla Marie Truesdale, Shaun Truesdale and Hunter Truesdale; three sisters, Gail Bauer of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Joyce Norton of Sumter and Norma Jasper of Conway; two brothers, Lloyd Evans and Allen Evans, both of Sumter; a special sister-in-law, Sherry Truesdale; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Evans McLeod.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Allen Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Sumer Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael H. Truesdale, Dannie A. Morris, Daulton Morris, Dannie Morris, Ronald "Bubba" Truesdale and Clint McCoy.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
