Sumter County deputies are working to locate a missing man who suffers from confusion and memory loss after a head injury.

According to Maj. Randall Stewart, Millard Hunter, 61, a veteran, was reported missing around 5 p.m.  Wednesday afternoon near Shaw Air Force Base. He experienced a head injury last year and suffers from confusion and has memory loss.

Hunter recently picked up his 1990 Chevy P30 RV from the maintenance shop which has been verified as missing as of this morning, Stewart said. Due to its maintenance issues, it likely cannot be driven far, he added.

Hunter’s family is concerned due to his medical condition and is asking for assistance in locating him.

Hunter is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 175 lbs. He has blue eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing the same shirt as shown in the photos. The RV license plate number is 7103LJ.

If anyone locates either Hunter or the RV, contact the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 436 – 2000 or call 911.
