DEWEY NEIL BOYKIN

BETHUNE - A graveside funeral service for Dewey Neil Boykin, 67, who died peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Turkey Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Guy Oliver officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the Boykin Family Farm, 3262 McKinnon Road, Bethune.

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Directors are caring for the family.

Mr. Boykin was born in Lee County, a son of the late Dewey Samuel and Sarah Ruth McKinnon Boykin. He was a member of Bethune Presbyterian Church and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends. He spent his life farming and raising cattle.

He is survived by his nephew, Jason Boykin; his daughters, Ali Boykin, Jayden Boykin and Klarissa Hart, all of Bethune; and niece, Angie Boykin (Kevin) Rickard and her children, Baileigh and Harrison Rickard, all of Sumter.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel McKinnon "Kinney" Boykin.

The family would like to thank friends and family for their overwhelming support during this difficult time.

Serving as pallbearers will be Harrison Rickard, Marshall Boyce, Walby Craven, Cameron Wooten, Chris McCoy, Kent Hall, Ben Stephens and Walt Almond.
