DIANE REYNOLDS GALLOWAY
Diane Reynolds Galloway, 81, widow of William Brooks Galloway, died on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Pleasant G. Sr. and Sarah Ruth Lambert Reynolds. Mrs. Galloway was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church, having served a number of years on various committees. She started work after graduation from Edmunds High School in 1956 at Williams Furniture Co., later Georgia-Pacific Corp. / Williams Furniture Division. Her latter years were spent working at various state government agencies, having retired from Clemson University Extension. She was a former member of "The Business and Professional Women's Association," having served as corresponding secretary.
Surviving are a son, Ron Dennis of Sumter; a daughter, Carol Dennis Mintz (Garry) of Manning; a brother, Everette Reynolds of Olympia, Washington; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with Dr. Clay Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
