Disney is most qualified of at-large board candidates

On Nov. 6, voters will have their say regarding candidates running for public office at the state and federal levels of our government. However, local candidate decisions loom large, too, especially as it relates to electing the most "qualified and respected" school board officials. It's important to remember that each voter has an opportunity to cast his/her vote for both a "designated" district board candidate and two at-large board candidates. The at-large board vacancies are non-partisan, meaning no Democrat or Republican affiliation.

With this said and for full disclosure, I intend to cast my vote for Bonnie Disney, a current at-large incumbent and candidate for the same position in this year's election. The reasons are many, as she is the most qualified of all at-large candidates. Not only does she possess the credentials and experience, she has fully demonstrated her dedication to her school board responsibilities in her capacity as at-large incumbent. She has taken the initiative to routinely visit each district school, speak directly with parents, teachers, administrators, and then follow up on issues of concern expressed by each group. Proactive! Committed to educational excellence! Immensely qualified! Impeccable character! These are facts. And, based on these facts, Bonnie Disney has earned my vote.

So, I encourage you to cast your vote for Bonnie Disney for an at-large school board position on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.
