DNR Boater Safety Course being offered in Bishopville

The VFW Post 3096 and American Legion Post 29 are sponsoring a DNR Boater Safety Course from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at South Carolina Cotton Museum, 121 W. Cedar Lane, Bishopville.
According to the SC DNR website, if born after July 1, 2007, boaters are required by law to pass an approved boater education course before operating a boat, personal watercraft or a specially prop craft powered by 10 hp motor or more. The VFW and American Legion will provide lunch for all students attending class.
