Dolly A. Lesane, affectionately known as "Ann," 61, was born on April 12, 1957, to the late Elizabeth "Carrie Lee" Mickens and Jessie Joe of Lee County. She departed this life on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.

Ann was a graduate of Ashwood Central High School. She was well known throughout the community as a talkative, loving and good-hearted person who could always make you smile. Ann touched many people with her memorable jokes.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, David Lesane of Sumter; her precious children, David (Tamika) Lesane of Bishopville, Fredrick Lesane of Philadelphia and Teresa (Lakean) Joe of Mayesville; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nine brothers, James, Lonell and David Mickens, James (Pauline) Pearson, Ray Pearson, Sammie Pearson, Lonnie (Stephanie) Stuckey, Henry Pearson and Paul Bracey; 10 sisters, Shirley Simon, Mary Johnson, Georgia Martin, Essie (Thomas) Baker, Etta Mickens, Patricia (Willie) Johnson, Angela (Richard) Century, Edna Scott, Lucille Baker and Daruis Bracey; one great-aunt, Viola Wilson; a special sister-in-law, Alberta Ruffin; a goddaughter, Grace Isaac; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baxter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Mickens; siblings, Gloria Johnson, Leroy Pearson, Herbert Pearson, Helen Pearson, Lucius Johnson and Henry Martin; two aunts; three uncles; and a mother-in-law.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, 184 Lake Ashwood Road, Sumter, SC 29153 with the Rev. Annie H. Sistrunk, pastor, officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, 129 Bell Road, Mayesville, SC 29104.
