DONALD LAWRENCE PETTY

Retired Senior Master Sgt. Donald Lawrence Petty, 77, husband of Patricia Ann Pelzer Petty and son of the late George and Elnora Strachan Petty, was born on May 25, 1944, in Miami, Florida. He departed this life on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at his residence.
Public viewing will  be held Monday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary.
Mr. Petty will be placed in the church on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for viewing until the hour of service. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Marion H. Newton, eulogist, and Dr. Nate Brock, officiating.
Interment will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
