DORLENA MOSES CHOICE

Posted

Dorlena Moses Choice, affectionately known as "Nett" to her family and close friends, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, after a brief illness.

Nett was born on Dec. 13, 1951, to the late Silas and Alethia Grant Moses of Borden. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. Nett graduated from Hillcrest High School, where she met her late husband Benjamin Choice of Sumter. From this union, three children were born and a life built together for more than 40 years. She was a dedicated employee at Shaw Air Force Base, until her retirement.

Nett will always be remembered as a quiet, strong-willed, humble and kind soul. Her love for her family was unconditional and she found happiness in life's smallest things. She enjoyed reading and shopping. Plants and flowers were some of her favorite things.

To cherish her memory, Nett leaves behind her three children, Michael and Teresa Choice of Sumter and Raymond (wife, Jackie) of Virginia; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Aliyah, Anyshia, Isaiah and Samara; also seven siblings, Ethel Durant (Feggin) of Sumter, Alta Sanders (Dempsie) of Dalzell, Silas (Beverly) of Virginia, Curtis (Carolyn) of Rembert, Brenda Scott (Ronnie) of Maryland, Wendy Williams (Washington) of Texas, Thomasina Moore (Gary) of NC; 2 aunts, 2 uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sammie Moses.
