Dorothy Ann Dawkins Jordan, 84, widow of David Reid Jordan, died on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born on Dec. 18, 1936, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Fleming McLendon Dawkins and Nena DuBose Dawkins. She was a retired postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service and a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Wise of Columbia, Chris Smoak (Joey) of Pinewood and Craig Blend (Lisa) of Manning; five grandchildren, Chase Smoak (Lindsay), Aubrey Rivers (Michael), Andrew Smoak (Elizabeth Ann), Paige Haley (Shai) and Sam Blend; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Clinton Dawkins (Gayle) of Manning; and a sister, Maggie Brewer (Harry) of Manning.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Ballenger and Ethel Dawkins; and two brothers, Jim Dawkins and F.M. Dawkins III.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.
