Dorothy Lula Veney Gaines transitioned from her earthly home on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Columbia.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Joseph (Thomasenia) Gaines of Sumter; grandson, Kewanna (Jose) Ortiz; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday.
Leevy Funeral Home of Columbia was in charge of these arrangements.
