DOROTHY MAE MCBRIDE

Dorothy Mae McBride, widow of Clyde McBride, was born on Dec. 25, 1924, in Sumter, to the late Frank and Katie Wilson Wright.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde McBride; a daughter, Katie Mae McCray; and two sons, Clyde McBride Jr. and O'Neal McBride.

Dorothy departed this life on Saturday, July 13, 2019, in Sumter.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Willie McBride, James (Rose) McBride, Dyann Coleman, Beja Brandon (Dupree), Bernice McBride, Gloria Sutton (Leon), Edward (Tanya) McBride and Anthony MCBride; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday in the chapel of Whites Mortuary, 517 N. Guignard Drive, Sumter, with the Rev. Annie Lou Riley, officiant. Interment will follow at Bradford Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

The family is receiving friends at 265 Sandy Run Drive, Sumter.
