DOROTHY MAE PARROTT JACKSON

Dorothy Mae Parrott Jackson, 83, widow of George Edward Jackson and daughter of the late Joseph Parrott and Pearlina Wells Parrott, was born on Feb. 24, 1942, in Sumter. She departed this life on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter.
Public viewing will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 2-6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary Inc.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant AME Church, 1800 Vista Lane, Lynchburg, with the Rev. Earnest Brown officiating and the Rev. D. Moses Davis, eulogist.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant AME Church Cemetery, Lynchburg.
Family will receive friends at the home, 298 E. Sumter St., Mayesville, daily from 4-9 p.m.
