On Wednesday, June 7, 41 Junior ROTC cadets from Crestwood, Lakewood and Sumter high schools visited the U.S. Army Central main command post at Shaw Air Force Base. They met with the assistant chief of staff G3, Brig. Gen. Henry Dixon, and the base's senior enlisted advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. J. Garza.

The group discussed what it means to serve in the U.S. Army, the USARCENT mission and capabilities and the importance of community involvement. They also received a history tour and brief about Third Army's history.
