WEDGEFIELD - Eddie Lamar Reece Sr., 63, husband of the late Karen Ann Watford Reece, died Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born Jan. 19, 1956, in Marietta, Georgia, he was a son of the late Eddie B. Reece and Virginia Margaret Burnette Reece. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and Becton-Dickinson. He enjoyed fishing and was a jack of all trades.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie Lamar Reece Jr. (Miranda) of Sumter, Matthew Reece (Savannah) of Wedgefield and Joshua Reece of Sumter; a granddaughter, Hannah Grace Reece; godchildren, Seth Speziale, Aidan Speziale and Krystal Speziale; brothers, Thomas Reece and Gene Reece, both of Brunswick, Georgia, and Glen Reece (Lois) of Thompson, Georgia; a number of nieces and nephews; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank Watford Sr. and Mary Nesbitt Watford of Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
