East Clarendon High School’s varsity boys basketball team split their games this weekend, beating Lake Marion 72-63 on Saturday after falling to Lake City 58-51 on Friday night
The Wolverines are now 5-1 on the season.
Senior forward Marquis Pearson led the way against Lake Marion, scoring 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting along with seven rebounds, four blocks, and two steals. Junior guard Landon Strickland added 16 points and four steals, and senior guard Tyjhai Calvin notched 14 points, four assists, and four steals.

Junior guard Keyon Wilson led the Wolverines with 21 points in EC's loss to Lake City. Calvin added 10, and senior guard Jalen Bryant had eight.
