EDNA RUTH GEDDINGS CAIN

Edna Ruth Geddings Cain, 86, widow of Thomas A. "Tommy" Cain, died on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, in Summerville.

Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Leon N. and Mazie Weeks Geddings. Mrs. Cain graduated from Edmunds High School in 1954 and was a retired secretary of Palmetto Heating and Air Conditioning.

Surviving are a son, Mark L. Cain (Elizabeth); a granddaughter, Sarah E. Battle; two grandsons, Joshua A. Cain and Nathaniel E. Cain; a great-grandson, Andrew J. Battle; and a brother, Ronnie Geddings (Shirley).

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lynwood Geddings, and a sister, Julia Ann Geddings DuBose.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Hebron Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family extends profound gratitude to the staff of Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation Center in Summerville.
