MANNING - Eleanor Winifred McIntosh Brunson, 96, widow of Clyde Austin Brunson, died on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020, at her daughter's residence.

Born on Aug. 29, 1923, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late William Locket McIntosh and Minnie Lee Evans McIntosh. She was a member of First Southern Methodist Church of Summerton. She welded on the liberty ships in Brunswick, Georgia, during World War II and was the former manager of Agri Sales and United Bonded Warehouse Cotton Storage and Seed Processing for more than 30 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Elna Clydell Gentry (Keith) of Greeleyville; a sister, Annetta Heath of Sumter; two granddaughters, Minette Gentry Hudson (Eric) of Manning and Michaela Austin Gentry Price (Dan) of Manning; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick Goodwin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
