ELIZABETH WASHINGTON BRUNSON

Elizabeth Washington Brunson was born on Nov. 2, 1947, to Lillian Washington in Sumter. On Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, she journeyed home to be with her Lord and Savior, her mother, her son Raymond Bernard Brunson and other loved ones.

She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. She accepted Christ as her Savior at a very young age and was a dedicated and faithful life member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: a devoted husband, Raymond Brunson of the home; two daughters, Rosamond (Winston) Richardson and Yolanda (James) Dixon; two sisters, Lorraine (Anthony) Dennis and Lillian (Charles) Thompson; two brothers, Laverne Washington and Graley (Sherry) Washington; four grandchildren, Tierra (Dekendrick) Summerson, Brianna Darnell Green, Riakas Richardson and Kyrin Richardson; one special grand, Grayson Dennis; three great-grandchildren, Jayden Levin, Dekenrick Summerson and Kyrie Green; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Kingdom Builders Church, 621 W. Liberty St., Sumter.

Graveside services will be on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Bradford Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. James Blassingame.
