ELVIN GEDDINGS

Elvin "Bo" Geddings, 78, husband of Ruth Geddings, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at Columbia VA Healthcare System.

Born July 11, 1941, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Elwood Geddings and Margie Geddings Pridgen. He retired from Santee Print Works after 33 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years; three children, Elwood J. Geddings of Sumter, Susan McLeod (Delbert) of Sumter and Judy Becker (Michael) of Pleasant Hill; six grandchildren, James McLeod, Brandy Stone, Jason McLeod, Ashley Taylor, Haywood Smith III and David A. Geddings; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roger Geddings (Deborah) of Rock Hill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Geddings and Andy Geddings; and a sister, Sandra Geddings.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be M.J. Stone, Jason McLeod, Chad Morrill, B.J. Smith, Mike Stone and Tim Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
