ERNEST JACKSON

The Rev. Dr. Ernest Jackson, 68, was called from labor to reward on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at his home in Sumter.

Born on Jan. 16, 1951, in Sumter County, he was a son of Lizzie Archis Jackson and the late Ryttenberg Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of his daughter, 218 Miller Road, Sumter.

Homegoing services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church USA, 4620 Queen Chapel Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Cornell Hampton, pastor, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at noon.

The funeral procession will leave at 11:20 a.m. from the home.

Burial will be at Ebenezer Presbyterian Churchyard Cemetery.
