ERNEST VICTOR TRUESDALE JR.

MANNING - Ernest Victor Truesdale Jr., 72, husband of Carlene Brown Truesdale, died on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, at his home.

Born on Feb. 20, 1949, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Ernest Victor Truesdale Sr. and Selma Player Truesdale. He was a retired truck mechanic, and he was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of Manning; two children, Brenda Jones (Greg) of Conway and Drew Truesdale (Sarah) of Manning; four grandchildren, Sarah Carter (Greg) of Littleton, North Carolina, Rebekah Kinsey of Emporia, Virginia, and Andrew Truesdale and Charlie Truesdale, both of Manning; three great-grandchildren, Little Greg Carter, Sadie Beth Carter and Luke Carter; and a niece, Gail Barnes (John) of Wedgefield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Truesdale Kinsey; and two sisters, Lila Gamble and Wanda Lawrence.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at 1550 Home Branch Road, Manning. Dress is casual.
