Everette Gene Rogers, 76, died on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at his home.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late David and Bertha Galloway Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Rogers Tire & Automotive and was a past master of Springhill Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are three sons, Derrick Rogers (Rhonda) of Lebanon, Ohio, Lee Rogers (Michelle) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Adam Chase Rogers of Sumter; two daughters, Kayla Hall (Clinton) and Savanna Rogers, both of Sumter; two brothers, William Rogers (Billie) of Manning and Charles Rogers (Cindy) of Sumter; seven grandchildren, Kelsy Rogers (fianc Bryan Rhoads), Kobey Rogers, Hayden Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Jaxon Hall, Landon Johnson and Navy Hall; a brother-in-law, Jeff Marsh of Sumter; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Rogers of Orangeburg.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Rogers; and five sisters, Mary Richardson, Sarah Marsh, Dorothy Barto, Esther Tomson and Barbara Bianco.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating. Burial will be at Paxville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
