There will be baseball a plenty at Riley Park beginning today and running through Sunday.

The University of South Carolina Sumter will be playing host to four other teams with a total of eight games being played over the three days.

The Fire Ants, who are 5-6 on the season, will play one game each day. They will play Florida State College at Jacksonville on Friday at 6 p.m. in the day's only game. The teams will play again on Saturday at 1 p.m., the second of four games on the day.

USC Sumter will face Walters State Community College of Morristown, Tennessee, in the final of three games on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Four of the five teams have reached the Junior College World Series in the past decade. Walters State has gone six times since 2003, the most recent in 2015. Potomac State from West Virginia has gone four times, the most recent in 2011.

USC Sumter made it to Grand Junction, Colorado, in 2015 and Region X foe Florence-Darlington Technical College made it in 2016.

Flo-Dar is coached by former Lakewood High School and Sumter P-15's standout Preston McDonald. The Stingers will play Potomac State at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will play a doubleheader on Sunday. They will play Potomac State again at 10 a.m. and will meet Walters State at 1 p.m.
