Floyd-Douglass

Mr. and Mrs. Rocky Floyd of Sumter announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Nicole Floyd of Sumter, to Benjamin Jacob Douglass of Sumter, son of Mrs. Linda Douglass of Columbia and Mr. Bradley Douglass of Albany, Missouri.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sara R. Violette and the late Mr. Robert L. Violette of Sumter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Floyd of Turbeville. She graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources and a minor in Psychology, from Fortis College in Columbia with an Associate Degree in Nursing and from Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton with an Associate Degree in Science. She is employed as a dialysis charge nurse for Fresenius Medical Care.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Bobbie Benton and the late Mr. Lionel Benton of Sumter, the late Mr. and Mrs. Stu Smith of Quincy, California, Mrs. Dixie Handizak and the late Roland Douglass of Jackson, California. He graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology with an Emphasis in Hydro-Geology and a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering. He is employed by McEntire Air National Guard as deputy base civil engineer.

The wedding is planned for June 1, 2019, in Sumter.
