Free drive-through event in Sumter offers goodies, mental health information

A free community event on Friday will feature drive-through mental health services.

Santee-Wateree Community Mental Health Center, 801 N. Pike West in Sumter, is hosting the Mental Health Day Drive-Thru event from noon to 2 p.m. on May 22. Attendees will be able to stay in their car and drive through the parking lot where staff will be handing out coloring books and crayons, swag bags and goodies, snacks and drinks and mental health program and services information.

The event is meant to show support for mental health staff workers and the community.
