Sumter High School finished fifth among 5A schools in the final edition of the S.C. Prep Media Football Poll released on Tuesday.

Laurence Manning Academy held its spot in the SCISA 3A poll, while Clarendon Hall moved up a spot in the 8-man poll, and Robert E. Lee Academy dropped a spot in the 2A poll.

The Gamecocks finished off their second straight 9-0 regular season with a 34-14 victory over Irmo on Friday. The four teams in front of Sumter remained the same - unanimous No. 1 Dutch Fork, No. 2 Dorman, No. 3 Fort Dorchester and No. 4 Byrnes. In fact, the five teams behind SHS - Clover, Carolina Forest, Laurens, Gaffney and River Bluff - held their spots as well.

LMA is second to Hammond in 3A. REL lost to No. 1 Trinity-Byrnes last week, causing it to fall from second into a tie for third with Florence Christian School.

Clarendon Hall moved from fourth to third thanks to its 42-0 win over W.W. King and Richard Winn Academy's victory over Wardlaw Academy.
