MANNING - Mary Elizabeth Geddings of Charleston and Nicholas Jay Trageser of Summerville were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Geddings Jr. of Manning and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jackson Ulmer of Walterboro and Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Geddings of Manning. She graduated from The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She is employed by MUSC.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jay Trageser of Summerville and the grandson of Dr. M. Jean Giove and the late Joseph Giove Jr. of Gaithersburg, Maryland, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leonard Trageser of Wheaton, Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is employed by Infor, Inc., in New York, New York.

The Rev. Richard Odom served as officiant.

Music was provided by Mrs. Kathy Owen Gatlin, organist; Mr. Camden James Enoch, soloist; and Mr. Thurman Lee Stogner, soloist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an A-line sleeveless ballgown with a floral-brocade design, an open back, and covered buttons adorning the back and train. She wore an elbow-length veil of traditional tulle, and she carried a bouquet of white roses complemented with silver dollar eucalyptus.

Miss April Renee Cary served as maid of honor. Miss Taylor Lane Harmon, Miss Allison Christina Hall, and Mrs. Kirstin Siegfried Trageser, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, served as bridesmaids. Miss Iris Lucille Trageser, niece of the bridegroom, served as flower girl.

Mr. Steven Wayne Brice-Nash served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. William Thomas Geddings III, brother of the bride, Mr. Sean Moaadel, and Mr. Michael Ryan Trageser, brother of the bridegroom.

The wedding was directed by Mrs. Clifton Lewis Coker.

The bride's parents held the reception at the Matrix Center in Manning.

The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at the lake home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eadon Butler of Manning.

Following a wedding trip to The Island of Antigua, Lesser Antilles, the couple will reside in Summerville.
