GEORGE WILSON

George Wilson, 50, departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1970, in Sumter, to the late Willis and Gladys Butler Wilson.

Early in life, he was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, and later he joined Nation Full Gospel Church. He attended the public schools of Sumter County. He was the owner of Wilson Real Estate Roofing and Construction Co.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dingle Wilson; two daughters, Precious Titus and Mona Wilson; six stepchildren; two grandchildren, Melody Titus and Tyleer Billups; and 10 stepgrandchildren; three brothers, Willis (Minnie) Wilson, Frankie Wilson and Thomas Wilson; five sisters, Loretta Brown, Easter Vaughn, Janet Haynes, Rosa Mae Plowden and Willene (Paul) Cook; three uncles, John Wilson, Abe (Mary) Weeks and Otis Butler; and three aunts, Annette Thompson, Cleo Lloyd and Eastern Brown.

Viewing will be held Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Kingdom Builders Church, 621 W. Liberty St., Sumter.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Nation Full Gospel Church, 410 S. Main St., Sumter. Burial will follow in Greater Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Bishop Marvin Hodge, eulogist.
