Giovania "Jho" Floyd Amerson, 88, widow of Ronald E. Amerson, went to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, surrounded by family.

Born Oct. 23, 1930, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Otis P. Floyd and the late Verlie Weaver Floyd. She was a very active member of New Salem Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School secretary and choir member. She retired from Dragonfly Bait and Tackle Company after 30 years of service. She loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda A. Bonnette of Sumter and Terry A. Radcliffe (Chuck) of Manning; four grandchildren, Eric Bonnette (Kim), Adam W. Bonnette (Lil), Joseph "Chad" Radcliffe (Rachel), and Stacie R. Atkinson (Zach); and eight great-grandchildren, Walker Bonnette, Sarah Bonnette, Danielle Bonnette, Elizabeth Bonnette, Cade Radcliffe, Riley Radcliffe, Harper Radcliffe and Ryder Atkinson.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrlene Nesbitt and Margaret James; two brothers, Frank Floyd and Harold Floyd; and a son-in-law, Daniel Bonnette.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Massey officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at New Salem Baptist Church and other times at the home.
