Glaze-Burr

CHARLESTON - Sally Glaze and John Aaron Burr IV, both of Myrtle Beach, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at John Wesley United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Lee Glaze and Mrs. Frances Glaze of Sumter and the granddaughter of the Rev. Reginald and Mrs. Yvonne Thackston of Sumter and Mrs. Brenda Glaze of Pendleton. She graduated from Oklahoma City University and is pursuing a Master of Science from the University of Florida. She is employed as a facility manager at ISI Elite Training in Conway.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. John Burr III of Conway and Ms. Melody O'Neal of Longs and the grandson of Mr. Carl O'Neal of Sumter. He attended Coastal Carolina University. He is employed as a UPS driver.

The Rev. Lane Glaze, uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by Mollie Craven, soloist; and Margaret Downs, pianist and organist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a simplistic lace-top elegant gown featuring an A-line skirt and floor-length veil. She carried a bouquet of wooden flowers in fall colors adorned with buckwheat, dried cotton blossoms and greenery.

Mollie Craven served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shelby Brown, Amy Laviolette and Katie Burr, sister of the bridegroom. Benjamin Rivera served as bridesman. Flower boy was Leo Burr, nephew of the bridegroom.

Jordan Burr, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Kurt Csolack, Will Jones and Scott Glaze, brother of the bride. Michael O'Neal, cousin of the bridegroom, served as ringbearer.

The reception was held at the Charleston Yacht Club.

The rehearsal party was held at Upstairs at Rue de Jean in Charleston.

Following a wedding trip to Boone, North Carolina, the couple resides in Myrtle Beach.
