GLEN WILLIAM BURDICK SR.

Glen William Burdick Sr., 58, widower of Mary Clancy Burdick, died on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at Agape Hospice House of the Midlands in Columbia.

Born on April 16, 1962, in Pownal, Vermont, he was a son of the late Clarence Sherwood Burdick Jr. and Mildred Hurley Burdick. Mr. Burdick was an active member of Crossbridge Christian Church, where he served as a deacon and member of the praise team. He operated Burdick's Tree Service and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include four children, Wynetta Burdick and Glen Burdick Jr., both of Vermont, and Ziana Weatherford (Ryan) and Bradley Clancy (fiancé, Casey Bostic), both of Sumter; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Constance Wheeler and Christina Burdick; three brothers, Roger Burdick, Charlie Burdick and Clarence Burdick; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Pratt.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Crossbridge Christian Church with Pastor Tim Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
