Gunshots fired at Sumter residence Monday night

Sumter Police Department officers responded to gunshots being fired at a residence on Brand Street on Monday night.
The resident of the home told officers she heard four or five shots outside the residence at about 8:30 p.m., according to an incident report.
There were seven others in the residence when shots were fired.
Officers found five .40 caliber shell castings in the roadway in front of the residence on Brand Street, and five gunshot holes were found on the front of the residence, according to an incident report.
No injuries were reported, but there was property damage.
