HARRIETT SERVANCE BLANDING

FORESTVILLE, Md. - On Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, Harriett Servance Blanding, widow of the late Rev. James Ransom Blanding Sr., heard her Master's call at the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Born on Aug. 18, 1931, in the Silver community of Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Sr. and Amelia Bannister.

A service celebrating her life will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Missionary Church, 219 S. Washington St., Sumter, where the Rev. Dr. O.J. Hannah, associate pastor, will preside. The Rev. George P. Windley Jr., pastor, will bring words of consolation. The service of committal will follow in the Blanding family plot located at Gipson-Clark Cemetery, Pinewood.

Public viewing will take place during the hours of 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Bertie Lee (Barbara) Blanding, 260 Wildwood Ave., Sumter.
