MANNING - Allison Marie Harrison of Sumter and Carl Matthews Evans III of New Zion were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Manning United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Sean Harrison of Sumter and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oneil Ward and the late Jueline Shorter Ward of Manning and Mrs. Linda Jamerson Harrison and the late David Wallace Harrison Jr. of Church Road, Virginia. She graduated from Laurence Manning Academy in 2013 and from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She is employed by Laurence Manning Academy.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Matthews Evans Jr. of New Zion and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Matthews Evans of New Zion and Mrs. Carolyn Mims Robertson and the late Charles White Robertson of Sumter. He graduated from Laurence Manning Academy in 2013 and from Central Carolina Technical College with an Associate's degree in Science with a focus on Natural Resource Management. He is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of South Carolina Aiken. He is employed by Santee Cooper.

The Rev. Michael Ray Lowder officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by Mrs. Kathy Owen Gatlin, organist/pianist; and Dr. Elizabeth Patrick DuRant and Madison Grace Sexton, soloists.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sheer illusion crepe wedding dress featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline, a fitted ruched bodice with a rhinestone-beaded satin belt and a chiffon ballgown skirt. She carried a slightly cascading bouquet of seasonal fresh flowers including white peonies, freesia, Quicksand roses and scabiosa wrapped in a hand-stitched handkerchief made and given to her by the bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. Evans.

Breanna Ragin Mix served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sydney Cumbie Beasley, Erin Elaine Bradford, Mary Catherine Evans, Katherine Virginia Harrison and Katlyn Marie Loschke. Junior bridesmaids were Lainey Grace Baggette, Anna Kathryn DuBose, Kamlin Jule Nix, Kaylin Lee Nix and Lyza Brooke Prickelmyer. Flower girls were Gentry Louise Baggette, Anne Heaton DuRant, Mabry Louise Eaddy and Emma Louise Moore.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Franklin Baggette, Andrew Timothy Baylor, Alec Michael Harrison, Christopher Allen Mahoney and Morgan Carl Morris. Crucifer and junior groomsman was Joseph Heyward Moore III. Ushers were Ernest Hunter Maggard and Michael Christopher Maggard. Britton Mikael Morris and Layton Taylor Morris served as greeters. Ring bearers were Marion Epps DuBose V and Charles Brody Prickelmyer.

The reception was given by the bride's parents at The Matrix Center in Manning.

The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at Lakewood Plantation in Manning.

Following a wedding trip to Savannah, Georgia, the couple will reside in Manning.
