MANNING - Hartswell "Sammie" Doughty, 76, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at McLeod Health Clarendon, Manning. He was born Feb. 26, 1942, in Manning, a son of the late Sam Doughty and Annie Mae Dukes Doughty.
Funeral services for Mr. Doughty will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, with The Rev. Darrell James, presiding; the Rev. Terry Johnson, officiating; Evangelist Natasha Wilson, Minister John Billups and the Rev. Al Smiling, assisting. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his niece and her husband, Joyce Ann and Thomas Briggs, 411 Holden St., Manning.
