HENRY LIVINGSTON HOLLAND JR.

Henry Livingston Holland Jr., 72, husband of Judith Price Holland, died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on Dec. 30, 1946, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Henry Livingston Holland Sr. and Corrie Mae Turner Holland. Mr. Holland served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from SCE&G with more than 38 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church Sumter and the Friends and Followers Sunday School Class. Mr. Holland served as a trustee on the International Mission Board, was a member of Gideons International, and American Legion Post 15. He was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and supporter.

Survivors include his wife of Sumter; a cousin, Shirley Anderson (Jim) of Duncan; nieces, Dianna Welch (Todd) and Angela Tidwell (Terry), both of Sumter; two brothers-in-law, John Smith of Sumter and Weldon Vineyard of Florida; two nephews, John Wells and Jim Wells, both of Florida; and a number of other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Vineyard.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. James Goodroe and the Rev. Dr. Dan Barber officiating. Burial with honors will be at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Todd Welch, Terry Tidwell, Jim McMillan, Jimmy Harley, John Smith and Jimmy Cromer.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Friends and Followers Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, c/o First Baptist Church, 107 E. Liberty St., Sumter, SC 29150.
