HERMAN ALEXANDER GIBSON SR.

FLORENCE - On Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, Herman Alexander "Tennie" Gibson Sr. departed this life at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Born on Oct. 19, 1946, in Manning, he was a son of the late Watson and Thelma Louise Miller Gibson, and adopted son of the late Deacon James Lee Sr. and Annie Mae Dingle Miller.

A service celebrating his life will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 2571 Joseph Lemon-Dingle Road, Jordan community of Manning, where the Rev. Carnell Witherspoon, pastor of Mount Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Jordan community of Manning, will preside. The Rev. Sam Livingston Sr., pastor, will bring words of comfort. The service of committal will follow at Antioch Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

The family is receiving relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. at the residence, 2015 Thompson Drive, Jordan community of Manning.

Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home and Chapel of Manning is in charge of these services.
