Homer has an energetic, loving personality

Posted

Poor Homer spent Halloween and Thanksgiving in his small kennel at the shelter, and we're hoping he doesn't have to spend Christmas there too. Homer is a young guy who is still full of puppy energy. He seems to have been cared for and came to animal control with a nice collar but, sadly, hasn't been claimed. He gets along well with the other dogs at animal control. He needs a little leash training not to pull but he's learning. He is happiest when provided with plenty of exercise. Homer has an energetic, loving personality and is always ready to take a walk or play. He begs for attention from the volunteers. This handsome boy weighs 43 pounds and is 2-4 years old. Homer has been a good boy all year, so he deserves a new home and family for Christmas. As with all of our adoptable dogs, we do require a spay or neuter agreement, and it is strictly enforced. Proof of spay/neuter after adoption will be required. We have many other adoptable dogs as well as animals who were found and are waiting for their owners to claim them. Check Sumter Animal Control on Facebook. Call the adoption coordinator at (803) 774-3232 to set up a meet and greet or email at rescuesumtersc@gmail.com.
