CHARLESTON - Kristen Ashleigh Hubbard and Ethan Foster Lane, both of Mount Pleasant, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at St. Luke's Chapel on the campus of the Medical University of South Carolina.

The Rev. Joseph Kirkland Carlisle officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lawrence Hubbard of Manning and is the granddaughter of Mrs. James McDowell DuRant of Manning and the late Mr. DuRant and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Bouie Hubbard Jr. of Sumter. She graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and from the Medical University of South Carolina with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She is employed as the lead physical therapist at Holy City Pediatric Therapy in Charleston.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Neal Lane of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gerrard Dobbins Jr. of Chesnee and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ralph Lane of Lancaster. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Management and Marketing. He is employed as the branch manager and a loan officer at Mortgage Network in Mount Pleasant.

Music was provided by Ms. Taylor Noelle Bingham, vocalist; the Rev. Carlisle, guitarist and vocalist; and Mrs. Nancy Clayton Lefter, organist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an Essence of Australia Mikado ballgown with a multi-layered floral tulle skirt, a skinny plunge bodice with shoestring straps, a wide horsehair trimmed hemline, fabric-covered buttons at the base of the open back and a short train. She wore a cathedral veil adorned with wide horsehair trim and carried a hand-held bouquet of white and ivory garden roses, ranunculus, lisianthus and silver dollar eucalyptus.

Mrs. Jennifer Hubbard Clarke, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Dr. Sahar Josephine Alavi, Mrs. Abby Hilderbran Holley, Mrs. Reagan Kiser Price and Dr. Kathleen Anne Schaefer. Miss Ansley Grace Clarke, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Michael Kasler Brasfield, Mr. Zachary Sanders Brown, Mr. Jordan Adraine Cox, Mr. James Alan Gardner, Mr. Juan Gonzalez, Mr. Scott Allen Morton, Mr. Quentin Turner Sills and Mr. Michael Lee Swanson. Mr. William Alderman Clarke Jr., nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Also participating were Miss Amelia Wells Bradley, Miss Elizabeth Mae Bradley, Mr. Brady Walter DuRant, Mr. William Rutledge DuRant, Miss Emmie Paige Gregg and Miss AnnaBelle Elizabeth Pusser.

The bride's parents held the reception at the Francis Marion Hotel on King Street in Charleston.

The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at Magnolia's in Charleston.

Following a wedding trip to Grenada, the couple resides in Mount Pleasant.
