JACQUELYN COOK ALLGOOD

Jacquelyn Cook Allgood, age 90, beloved wife of the late Vernon Lester Allgood, died on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at her residence.

Born in Fort Myers, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Earnest Cook and Eula Stokes Mack. Jacquelyn was the former owner of RuVelle Dress Shop. She was a past candidate for Sumter City Council and a former member of the Sunset Country Club. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are one daughter, Pamela Bruce of Sumter; four grandchildren, Marshall Preddy, Scott Preddy, Stephen Bruce and David Bruce; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharyn Allgood Branstrom.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.
