James Benjamin "JB" Hall, age 78, husband of the late Dorothy Jean Potter Hall, died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Palmetto Health Toumey.

Born in Maryville, Tennessee, he was a son of the late James R. and Jennie Mearl Tallent Hall. He was a member of the United States Air Force and earned a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. JB retired as a chief master sergeant in 1991, after 30 years of service. After his retirement, Mr. Hall worked with Barnettes Auto Parts for 18 additional years. He was a member of American Legion Post 175. He will be remembered as a very loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jama Hall and Cynthia Bacvinskas, both of Dalzell; one brother, Joe Hall of Maryville; three sisters, Carolyn Gregory, Jane McClanahan and Jeanette Smelecher, all of Maryville; two grandchildren, James Bacvinskas and Allen Bacvinskas; and two great-grandchildren, Ben Bacvinskas and Cole Bacvinskas.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Miller and the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at Bullock Funeral Home.
