JAMES DOWS JR.

James Dows Jr., 63, was born on March 8, 1957, in Sumter, a son of Willie Mae Hunter Dow and the late James Dow Sr. He departed this life on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse, New York.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150 with the Rev. Timothy Hunter officiating and the Rev. Clarence Hunter, eulogist. Interment will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
