James Henry Bell, 85, widower of Pearl Bell, died on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at his residence, 669 Marlborough Drive, Sumter.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1933, in Alcolu, a son of the late Deacon Robert and Margaret Frierson Bell.
Funeral services for Mr. Bell will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1260 Green Hill Church Road, Alcolu, with the Rev. William J. Frierson Sr. presiding, the Rev. Delbert H. Singleton Jr., pastor, eulogist, and Prophetess Silvia Whitaker assisting. Burial will follow at the churchyard cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at his residence.
