JAMES LESLIE WEST
MANNING - Funeral services for James Leslie West will be held at noon on Thursday at Mt. Pleasant UME Church, 1654 Fullerton Road, Pinewood, with Pastor Lavaron Johnson, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.
James was born on Feb. 16, 1937, in Clarendon County, to the late Charlie and Rosa Billy West.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James departed this life on Thursday, April 18, 2019, in Sumter.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Harry Taylor and Leslie C. Hunt; sister, Hazel (James) Chestnut; two brothers, Esaw Johnson and James A. (Sarah) West; two uncles, Clyde Billy and James E. Billy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends at 706 Branch View Drive, Manning.
