BISHOPVILLE - Graveside funeral services for Janice Newsome Holland, 74, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Jim Chandler will officiate.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Mrs. Holland entered into rest peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2019.

Born in Hartsville, she was a daughter of the late Robert Sydney and Alma Louise McPherson Newsome. She was a loving wife and mother who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed the beach and shopping.

Surviving are her husband, Al Holland of Bishopville; daughter, Jolynn Johnson of Hartsville; stepdaughter, Sharon (Mark) Longabaugh of Alexandria, Virginia; another daughter that she raised, Angela (Sid) Jordan of Hartsville; brothers, Robert Sidney Newsome of Alaska and Ray (Charlotte) Newsome of Washington state; sister, Deborah (James) Sowers of Darlington; and grandchildren, Will Longabaugh, Matt Longabaugh, Parker Jordan, Hannah (Hanson) Kirk and Maggie Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Johnson; brother, Randy Newsome; and sister, Terrie Huff.
