JANICE MARIE MCLANE

Janice Marie McLane, 60, departed this earthly life on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

"Ree," as she was affectionately known, was born on March 10, 1960, and was a daughter of Shirley Mayrant McLane of Horatio and the late John McLane Sr. She attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Hillcrest High School Class of 1979. At an early age, she joined High Hills AME Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one sister, Gloria R. (Earl) Jenkins of Dalzell; two brothers, Edward (Donna) McLane of Columbia and John Perry of Sumter; one sister-in-law, Linda Davis-McLane of Sumter; five nephews, DaJone (Antionette) McLane of Houston, Texas, Earl Jenkins Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, Malik McLane of Spartanburg, Jonedrick McLane and Antonnial Davis of Sumter; two nieces, Natalie McKelvie of Sumter and Dr. Sarah Berry of Atlanta; along with a host of other relatives and special friends.

Due to the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at High Hills AME Church cemetery, 6780 Meeting House Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Keith Mays Sr., pastor, eulogist.
